Beyond the Prius.
Hybrids Plus has signed a contract with a government agency to demonstrate the PHEV conversion technology in a new make and model vehicle. We are prohibited from saying more at this time, however, we will forward the press release as soon as it is official.

We Have Moved!
On 11/21/06 we moved to new headquarters at 2845 Valmont Rd. in Boulder, CO. The building is a former car dealership complete with a glass-front showroomÑnow of course filled with PHEVs in various stages of completion. In addition to having a prime location, the buildingÕs huge south-facing windows offer solar gain during our sunnier days, a great view of BoulderÕs majestic Flatirons, and passersby can view our work in progress; or our progress at work! The actual building needs repairs and upgrades, however, we are continually surprised by all the friends and company supporters who stop by offering to fix a door or a wall just because they believe in what we are doing. We are most appreciative as well, to our new landlords for giving us very favorable terms, in recognition of the benefits that Hybrids Plus is determined to bring to the world. Thank you.

Your Opinion Counts at Hybrids Plus!
On the topic of Ôbeing in this together,Ó last month we asked you, our readers, to participate in a survey. Thank you to all who responded. Here are some of the things you had to say: Reasons to convert ranged from the obvious environmental and political benefits, to the pleasure of being able to get such a high mileage. The most common reason for not converting to Plug-in is the cost of conversion. Also noted were the effect on the Toyota warranty, the hope that car manufacturers will offer Plug-In HEVs in the future, uncertainty of the long term support from a small start-up company, and lack of performance history on the cells that would prove they will indeed last many years. We hope to address many of these concerns over the upcoming year. One of the big cost factors in conversions is the battery price. Hybrids Plus is working closely with A123Systems on upcoming orders and projections of market demand, so that they can quote the lowest price to us. We are also tooling up to streamline the conversion process. Not only will this make a conversion simpler and faster to install, it will also turn the conversion into a product that can be shipped to outside installers around the country, making it more convenient and less expensive to customers. Hybrids Plus will count on our growing list of satisfied customers to help us build goodwill, as a company that stands behind its work. We have other programs in mind as well that could make the converted car more affordable to a wider audience by mid-2007.

Part of the Hybrids Plus business philosophy is a willingness to share our experiences and expertise, as well as welcoming and listening to other ideas and partnerships that will facilitate the development and availability of sustainable energy solutions. The time is right for taking transportation into the 21^st century.
